Australian Catholic University (ACU) has ranked number one in Australia for employer satisfaction, according to the latest QILT Employer Satisfaction Survey (ESS).

James Cook University has again been recognised by the World Health Organization (WHO) for its work tackling diseases across the Tropics.

JCU has been re-designated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Vector-borne and Neglected Tropical Diseases for another four years, from November 2025 to November 2029. The designation recognises the University’s long-standing partnership with the WHO and strengthens collaboration on research, training and technical support to help countries prevent and control tropical diseases.

La Trobe University

La Trobe University will lead a major national project aimed at optimising energy use and emissions of Australia’s data centres using next generation quantum and artificial intelligence technologies.

Funded with a $1.1 million grant under the Federal Government’s National Critical Technologies Challenge Program (CTCP) and announced by the Federal Member for Jagajaga Kate Thwaites MP, the project brings together La Trobe researchers with leading industry and university partners to develop and deploy a fully functioning prototype within one of Australia’s major data centre facilities.
